Ackerman Roof Overclad Pay Request #2
The Board of Commissioners reviewed pay request #2 for the Ackerman roof overclad in the amount of $208,316.25. The Board of Commissioners came to a consensus to place the pay request on the consent agenda for the September 18ht, regular meeting.
Archiving/History Project Update
Staff presented the Board of Commissioners with a progress report for the archiving/history project, which began in late 2011 and continues in 2012. The project has an emphasis in three specific areas:
- The establishment of the Glen Ellyn Park District archives
- Digitization of the Park District documents, while creating a storage system for the documents
- The development of a history website to display materials, documents, and photographs of the Glen Ellyn Park District history.
Safety Manual Update
Staff presented the Board of Commissioners with the Park District Safety Manual updates. The updates are recommendations made by PDRMA in correlation with PDRMA’s Loss Control Review. PDRMA’s recommended changes include:
- Removal of Section 6.00 “Park Police Policy.” PDRMA requests the removal of this policy since the Park District no longer staff’s police officers.
- Addition of a fall protection policy and an ergonomics policy.
- The communicable disease, hazard communication, and crises management policies are being updated per PDRMA’s request.
Three-Year Capital Projects Plan
The Board of Commissioners discussed future capital expenditures and the need for the issuance of non-referendum bonds.
Use of District Vehicles, Equipment, Facilities, and Cell Phone Policy
The Board of Commissioners discussed guidelines pertaining to a Park District cell phone policy.
