of Public Hearing for the issuance of General Obligation Limited Tax Park Bonds

hearing for the issuance of non-referendum bonds.

Staff presented the Board of
Commissioners with a presentation of the Park District’s Emerald Ash Borer
management plan. Staff has been reviewing the state of the Park District’s ash
tree population with a goal of providing a viable option to treat a percentage
to prevent the need to remove quality ash trees within the Park District. Those
that will have to be removed will be replaced with a quality tree.
The Board of Commissioners will discuss
further at the October 16 Board meeting and provide direction regarding the
Emerald Ash Tree Boar management plan for the Park District. The plan will
include treatment, removal and replacement.
